Pastor’s Message

Greetings,

On behalf of the staff at QAELC, I want to welcome you to our web site.

My name is Wayne Bacus and I am the pastor of QAELC and have been for the past eleven years.  Before coming to QAELC I served congregations in both New York and California. Seattle is my home and it has been my joy to return to Seattle and serve QAELC.  One of the joys of serving this congregation is being a partner in ministry with the rest of the staff here.  It is my delight to introduce to you the staff at QAELC.

Vicki Vereen

Parish Assistant

Meet our Parish Assistant: Vicki Vereen.  She joined our staff in September 2003, and has made use of her gifts of working with children through a wonderful program called "Godly Play." Vicki comes to us from Coronado, California where she was a school secretary at a Kindergarten.  She had been visiting Seattle twice a year to see her sons who have lived here since 1994.  She moved to the Queen Anne area in February, 2003.  She thinks being a Parish Assistant is a perfect fit for her.

Arletta Anderson

Cantor

Cantor’s Message

Arletta Anderson serves as Cantor, the music leader of our congregation.  As an Associate in Ministry in the ELCA, Arletta was called to our staff in September 2003.  Arletta grew up in the Pacific Northwest and returned in 2002 with her husband, Roger, after living in Illinois and Zimbabwe, Africa.  Arletta finds her ministry as organist/pianist and director of three choirs at Queen Anne a great privilege and a blessing.

Jeremiah Drelleshak

Intern Director of Christian Education

Hello all! My name is Jeremiah Drelleshak, your new Intern Director of Christian Education. I was born in California but I have spent the majority of my life living in Portland, Oregon. I also did spend a few years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My parents’ names are Ron and Arlene Drelleshak and I have a brother named Sonny. My hobbies are basically anything to do with the outdoors. I love to go fishing, hunting and camping. I also love sports and have been playing them since I was a little guy. My favorites are football and Track and Field.
